Property holder
A person who owns land, a house, or other real estate.
A property holder is someone who owns real estate, such as a house, land, or building. You may also be called a homeowner or property owner.
Why this matters: Some government benefit programs ask if you own property because they have limits on how much money and assets you can have and still qualify. For example, SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) has an asset limit, but it usually does not count your home or the land it sits on. Other programs, like state property tax relief programs, are only for people who do own property.
If you rent instead of own, you are not a property holder for these programs.
