Accessibility statement
Benefits information should be easy for everyone to use, including people with disabilities and people on older phones or slow connections.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site. Accessibility is part of how we design and build pages, not an afterthought.
What we do
- Plain-language writing, with the key figures and the next step at the top of each page.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link for screen reader and keyboard users.
- Forms with visible labels, clear error messages and full keyboard support.
- Text and controls sized for phones, with color contrast chosen to meet AA standards.
- Tables for income limits so figures can be read row by row by assistive technology.
- Reserved space for ads so content doesn't move while you read.
Known limitations
Some links go to government websites and PDF forms that we don't control and that may not be fully accessible. If you can't use an agency's form, the agency is required to offer another way to apply; its phone number is on each program page.
Report a barrier
If something on OwedFinder is hard to use, tell us the page and what happened. Email hello@owedfinder.com. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can.
